Timber Hawks Trip Racers, 5-4

Fans who gathered at Speedway Field saw a good contest between the Augusta Timber Hawks and Indianapolis Racers.
The Indianapolis Racers got a superb performance from shortstop Katsuhiko Ishihara, but the Augusta Timber Hawks still won the game, 5-4. Ishihara was named the player of the game despite the loss. He was 3 for 5 with a home run and a double. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Luis Oropeza was credited with the save for Augusta, his 5th of the season.
It could have been a different outcome for Augusta, had it not been for Min-gook Ch'oe, the 29-year old catcher . Ch'oe contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the fourth inning to put Augusta up, 3-1.
"We found a way to get it done," Ch'oe said.
The Timber Hawks, at 38-35, have now won 4 straight.
