Drummers Win Streak Reaches 6

The Tortolita Drummers bested the Athletic Club KC Reserves by a score of 7-2, with right fielder Ken Moore getting the main credit. On the day, Moore went 1-3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for the Drummers. Kabeya Kasongo was the winning pitcher. Over 5 innings, he allowed 2 runs on 5 hits, with 2 walks and 2 strikeouts. Chet Gustafson earned the save for Tortolita, his 1st of the year.
The Drummers beat the Reserves in part due to timely hitting. Case in point: the two-out single Tomás Costello produced in the bottom of the third. Batting against Athletic Club KC pitcher Ozamataz Buckshank, Costello gave his team a 3-2 lead when he hit a 2-run single.
"This team is on a mission," said Moore, who is one of the clubhouse leaders. "I like our focus."
This win makes it 6 in a row for Tortolita.
