Flyers Lose, 5-0, at Psychos Ballpark
|
The Florida Men got a stellar effort from pitcher Enrique Cruz, helping Florida score a 5-0 win over the visiting Pennsauken Flyers. Cruz got the win, improving to 6-6. He allowed 2 hits and walked 3 over 5 innings. Cruz allowed no earned runs. The Men move to 26-33 with the win, while the Flyers drop to 33-26.
Matsudaira Sugahara had a big 2-run single for the Men in the bottom of the fifth inning. With Florida leading 1-0 and the bases loaded, he got a forkball from Vincent O'Higgin and stroked the single to center. It was his 67th hit of the season, and more importantly, it put the Men ahead, 3-0.
"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Sugahara told the Florida Citizen.
