Dogfish Head Drop Another One
|
Houston right-hander Silverberry Mouhon pitched his team to a shutout win, 7-0, over the Milton Dogfish Head. Mouhon, now 6-6, was the winner. In 7.1 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 4, walking 3, and allowing no earned runs. Milton has now lost 5 consecutive games.
Houston used the timely hitting of Omer van de Linde to seize the win. The catcher stroked a 2-run single in the top of the second inning to put the BC on top, 2-0. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"I felt we were ready to go," said Houston manager Juan Cuestas. "Our pregame was pretty good."
