Red Pandas Suffer 7-3 Setback
|
Hong-bo Zhui made an impact in the 7-3 Augusta win over Sioux Falls. Zhui went 3-5 with a home run and a triple, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. Maru Pao Pao got the win, improving to 1-1. He pitched 5 innings, giving up 5 hits and 3 runs, while striking out 4 and walking 5. The Timber Hawks are now 21-27, while the Red Pandas fall to 19-29.
The Timber Hawks got a gift in the top of the seventh inning, when they were leading 4-3. With two out and runners on 2nd and 3rd, Pat Sizemore reached on an error by the 1B, driving in 1 run. It made the score 5-3, Augusta.
"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Zhui.
