Dogfish Head Subdue Pennsauken, 4-2
|
Milton Dogfish Head starter Rusty Swanson was in a groove as he led his team to a win over the Pennsauken Flyers, 4-2. Swanson went 6 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 4, and struck out 3. His record improves to 5-4. Their 25-22 record puts the Dogfish Head 5th in the Menard's AAA.
It could have been a different outcome for Milton, had it not been for Troy Flynn, the 27-year old catcher . Flynn contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the sixth inning to put Milton up, 4-2.
"We made a couple of mistakes," said Pennsauken skipper Jeff Walsh, "and it cost us."
