|
The Milton Dogfish Head defeated the Augusta Timber Hawks, 5-3. Earning player of the game honors was designated hitter Arnie Taylor, who was 1-3 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Milton reliever José Marín picked up the win to move to 3-2. Maru Pao Pao suffered the loss. Earning his 8th save of the year was Jonathan Lentz.
With Milton leading 2-0 in the top of the fourth, Taylor came up to bat against Augusta pitcher Ivano Carbonetti. Taylor hit a fastball to left for a 3-run home run. His 1st home run of the season put the Dogfish Head on top, 5-0.
"We'll pop the top on a cold one and get back to work tomorrow," Taylor said.
The Dogfish Head now have a mark of 20-19.
