|
Indianapolis right-hander José Macías made an effective start against the Hamilton Coyotes at Speedway Field, leading his team to a 10-2 win. Macías got the win, improving to 1-2. He allowed 3 hits and walked 6 over 6.1 innings. Macías allowed 1 earned run. The last-place Coyotes have dropped 4 straight games.
The Racers grabbed the lead in the bottom of the fourth. With no one out, Derek Healey, who is tied for 9th in the 3AAA in bases on balls with 21, hit a 3-run home run off Rikkarti Gudmundur, putting Indianapolis in front, 8-0. For Healey, it was his 3rd home run of the season.
"As well as we've been playing, I think we can play even better," said Indianapolis manager Emílio Sáenz.
