Boston Wastes Great Game by Yuka
Despite a great performance by Boston designated hitter Temaki Yuka, the Northern Virginia Rainbow Mermaids defeated the Patriots by the score of 7-6 at Dunkin Donuts Park. Yuka went 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 5 runs and scored once. Brewster Warble earned the save, his 7th. This loss makes it 7 in a row for Boston.

Late-game drama came in the top of the ninth inning. With no one out and the bases empty, the batter, Craig Morgan, hit a single. It helped Northern Virginia seize the win.

"I like our mindset right now," said Northern Virginia manager David Lister.
