Drummers Lose, 2-1, at Speedway Field
|
Kendarian Handy-Holly pitched a gem to lead Indianapolis to a 2-1 victory over the Tortolita Drummers. In 7 innings, Handy-Holly surrendered 6 hits, while striking out 5 and walking 2. He allowed 1 run. Losses have been rare for the Drummers, who are now 10-3.
Germán Gracía went 1 for 3 with a double for Indianapolis. The 25-year old second baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the sixth. With no one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, he broke a 1-1 tie with a run-scoring ground out off Robbie Baxter. It was his 6th RBI of the season.
"Both teams played hard," said Indianapolis manager Emílio Sáenz.
