It was a good time at Houston Park, where fans came to watch the Indianapolis Racers and Houston BC get after it.
The Houston BC went home winners at Houston Park, thanks in large part to starter Bernardo López. López silenced the Indianapolis Racers, enabling Houston to grab the 4-1 win. In 7 innings, López surrendered 6 hits, while striking out 4 and walking 0. He allowed 1 run. Abdul-Nasir Rabah earned the save for Houston, his 5th of the year.
Indianapolis had a runner on 1st in the top of the eighth. With no one out, Spartak Gonjarov came to bat, hoping to do some damage. Instead, he hit into a double play. The score remained 3-1, Houston. The Racers saw their comeback bid fail.
