|
Getting a good performance from designated hitter Aaron Day, the Salt Lake City Buzz defeated the Sioux Falls Red Pandas, 4-2. Day went 3 for 3 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk for the Buzz. Chris Holmes earned the save, his 3rd, for the Buzz. With the loss, Sioux Falls falls to 2-6.
Had Orlando Casillas not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases loaded, Casillas hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 3-2, in favor of the Buzz.
"Feels good to get the job done," Casillas said after the game.
