Kingston Township rode a good effort from starter Pete Rhue to beat the Montana Pandas at Cloverdale Legion Park. The final score was 3-2. Rhue picked up the win for Kingston Township, going 8 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 4 hits. He now sports a record of 2-1. John Riggleman locked down his 4th save.
Alfredo Cardenas put Kingston Township in front, 3-1, when he took Juan Contreras downtown. His solo home run came with no one out in the bottom of the fourth. It was his 3rd home run of the season.
"You get some opportunities, you better take advantage of them," said Montana manager Andrew Schupick.
Kingston Township, now 6-10, is off to a slow start.
