Cattlemen Walk Off with 4-2 Win
|
The Cattlemen grabbed a win, 4-2, at The Cattle Pen, overcoming a fine effort from Brooklyn pitcher Javier Desdin. Desdin went 7.2 innings and allowed 2 earned runs. Ft. Worth, now 12-3, is setting the league on fire so far.
Sergio Ortíz was the walk-off hero for Ft. Worth. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Cattlemen designated hitter hit a dramatic 2-run home run to send the teams home.
"Nice to put this one in the win column," said Ortíz.
