Stingers Come Back Late to Top 1837 BBC
The Toledo Stingers relied on the hitting of shortstop Chet Clifton to stop the Houston 1837 BBC, 5-3. For the game, Clifton went 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Earning his 1st save of the year was Austin Aries. With the win, Toledo goes to 3-2.

Toledo used the clutch hitting of Pedro Serano to capture the win. The first baseman drilled a 2-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Stingers ahead, 4-3. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a big one.
