White Walkers Get Win, Extend Streak to 4
|
The White Walkers grabbed a win, 3-0, at Washington Stadium, overcoming a fine effort from D.C. pitcher Coy Broderick. Broderick went 5.2 innings and allowed 3 earned runs. Woodward Haberdash earned his 25th save in 29 chances. The 6th-place White Walkers have won 4 consecutive games.
In the top of the second, Gilberto Ocasio hit a 2-run home run for Buffalo. The 14th home run of the season for the Buffalo right fielder put the White Walkers on top, 2-0.
"We made a couple of mistakes," said D.C. skipper Jonathan Gerth, "and it cost us."
