Dirty Reds shortstop Rio Mence put his stamp on his team's 6-5 win over the Hollywood Shredders. Mence went 2-4 with a home run and a double. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for San Mateo in the contest. San Mateo reliever Yoshii Ikeda picked up the win, upping his record to 2-4. Lloyd Natoff was saddled with the loss. Earning his 12th save for San Mateo was Urs Ehles.

San Mateo took a 5-2 lead on Mence's 5th home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which he hit off Lloyd Natoff in the top of the sixth, propelled San Mateo to the win.

"We're feeling good in this clubhouse right now after that one," Mence told the San Mateo Herald.

The Dirty Reds move to 56-51 with the win, while the Shredders drop to 70-37.
