Dirty Reds Fall Short, 1-0, at Phoenix
|
Phoenix right-hander Masahiro Sakei pitched his team to victory over the San Mateo Dirty Reds at Chase Field. The final score was 1-0. Tony Ramírez earned his 4th save in 8 chances. Phoenix is now riding a 3-game win streak.
Early in the game, designated hitter Valerius Buser had a run-scoring single for Phoenix. It was his 78th hit of the season and put the Hotspur on top, 1-0.
"I tell our guys all the time, 'Every pitch is the right pitch if you put it in the right place, you believe in it and have conviction,'" Phoenix manager Michael Esposito said.
