Northern Lions BC Suffer 7-3 Loss to Dirty Reds
|
Daniel McCoy made an impact in the 7-3 San Mateo win over Thunder Bay. McCoy, who finished 5th in the SL in on-base percentage with .379 last year, was 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times. CB Huntington earned the win to go to 5-3. He allowed 3 earned runs on 7 hits, with 2 walks and 2 strikeouts. Urs Ehles closed the game out for San Mateo, earning his 10th save.
In the bottom of the third, Kameron Guangorena hit a grand slam home run for San Mateo. The 14th home run of the season for the San Mateo catcher put the Dirty Reds on top, 6-2.
McCoy called the win the result of "everyone being in sync."
The Dirty Reds now have a record of 52-46.
