Bolasky Slugs Flamingos to 8-5 Win
|
The Las Vegas Flamingos defeated the Nashville Outlaws, 8-5, at The Strip today. Leading the charge for Las Vegas was right fielder Glyn Bolasky. He went 2-3 with 2 home runs and a walk. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. Vaugh Chesser got the save, the 22nd for him this season. Las Vegas, at 54-42, occupies second place in the Silver League.
Bolasky came through with some timely hitting for Las Vegas. With the score 4-3 in the bottom of the third and two down, Bolasky hit a 1-2 fastball for a 3-run home run. His 12th home run of the season made it 7-3, Las Vegas.
"We take it day by day here," said Bolasky, "and today was a good one for us."
