Late Rally by White Walkers Secures Win
|
Buffalo White Walkers starter Kent Good was locked-in. He led his team to a win over the San Mateo Dirty Reds, 7-3. Buffalo reliever Suezo Amano was the winner. His record is now 1-1. The losing pitcher was Urs Ehles. The White Walkers now have a record of 48-47.
Tom Smythe's hit in the top of the ninth was a game-changer. With no one out, he rapped a cutter from Yoshii Ikeda for a run-scoring triple. It put Buffalo in front, 4-3.
"Baseball is about momentum," said Good, "and we feel we've got it in our favor after that win."
