Hit Streak Now at 25 for Foote Tuesday, June 30th, 2037 The number just keeps getting higher. Greenport left fielder Lucky Foote has now extended his hitting string to 25 games. He did it today with 2 hits in 5 at-bats as the Greenport took the 7-3 win over the Redwood Rhinos at Ballpark of Robbins. "Who knows how long it will go on?" Redwood manager Kyle Myers said. "He's certainly tough to pitch to right now." Lucky Foote singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, struck out in the 5th, flied out in the 7th and struck out in the 8th. So far this season Foote is hitting .290 with 3 home runs, 20 RBIs and 20 runs scored. He has 42 hits in 145 at-bats and a .325 OBP. |
