Oriol Fernández Captures Prestigious Trophy Sunday, September 28th, 2036 He may have less experience than most of his M3L Rookie peers, but that didn't slow Oriol Fernández down at all in 2036. At the age of 20, the Athletic Club KC third baseman has been named the winner of the M3L Rookie Most Valuable Player Award. He had a .298 batting average and a .335 on-base percentage this year. In 82 games he piled up 94 hits, 14 doubles, no triples, 26 home runs, 63 RBIs and 48 runs scored. "I'm blown away by the season I was able to put together," he said. "I'm looking forward to trying to do it all again next year." He received 7 first place votes out of a possible 12.
