Germantown's Plumb Will Miss Season Tuesday, August 11th, 2037 The season is finished for Jack Plumb of the Germantown Uruguayans. The club announced today that he will forego the rest of the year because of injury. The Uruguayans third baseman suffered a torn ulnar collateral ligament while throwing a pitch in a recent game against the Sheridan Deer. Team doctors said it would take at least 14 months to heal. Thus far this season Plumb is hitting .127 with 3 home runs, 10 RBIs and 16 runs scored. He has 29 hits in 229 at-bats and has played in 64 games. |
