Mitchell Cracks 5 Hits Wednesday, July 1st, 2037 No matter what the Hicksville Hounds threw at him today, Richard Mitchell hit it. He easily handled Hounds pitching, going 5 for 5 and helping the Beavers to a 8-0 triumph at Beaver Town. "The way I was swinging today, I think I could have closed my eyes and hit the ball," he told BNN reporters in the postgame interview. Told of Mitchell's quip, Hounds skipper Wilber Moon said he "would take him up on that next time." Richard Mitchell singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Emilio Linger in the 5th, doubled in the 6th and singled in the 8th.
