Canucks Lose Cook for Season

Virgil Cook has to call it a season. The Moose Jaw Canucks reliever sustained a season-ending injury against the Phoenix Hotspur Academy and will not play again this year according to club doctors. Cook was injured while throwing a pitch. His doctors diagnosed it as a ruptured ulnar collateral ligament and stated that he would not be able to play for 12-13 months.

For the season Cook has 1 save, tossed 22 innings, fanned 13 batters and produced an ERA of 5.32. He has also been credited with no wins and 1 loss.
