Chapman Bangs Out 5 Base Hits Wednesday, June 24th, 2037 There aren't many who could be pro ballplayers and there are even fewer who could put up 5 hits in a day. Doug Chapman is one of those rare few, as he went 5-for-6 against the Franklin Fire at Lawmen Ballpark today. The monster effort from the 19-year-old center fielder helped the Quebec City Baby Blues take the win, 15-3. "We made some bad pitches and he took advantage of it," said Fire manager Mark Davis. "That's the game, though. Don't make mistakes and you'll win ballgames. Make mistakes and, well, you saw what happened today." Doug Chapman singled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, singled in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and grounded out in the 8th.
