No Hits for Santos, Streak Ends at 26 Saturday, August 8th, 2037 All good things must come to an end -- and so it was today for Juan Santos as he saw his 26-game hitting streak end. He went hitless in 6 at-bats at the hands of the Capital Hill Interns. It wasn't all bad for the 19-year-old center fielder and the Montgomery Biscuits however, as they defeated Capital Hill 4-3 at Montgomery Riverwalk Stadium. When asked about his hitting streak, a smiling Santos laughed and said, "I guess my luck ran out today." This season Santos has hit at a .334 clip and produced 43 RBI, 9 home runs and 47 runs. |
