Salas Is July's Best SR Hurler Saturday, August 1st, 2037 In July Phoenix starter Lúcio Salas mystified USSL Rookie hitters and carried off the Pitcher of the Month honors by chalking up a 3-0 record in 6 starts. The 21-year-old Salas added 38 strikeouts in 38.1 innings and 10 walks to his season record and compiled a 2.35 ERA. Opposing batters hit .207 against him.
