Chesapeake's Calabaa Suspended 3 Games Friday, August 21st, 2037 A 3-game suspension has been handed out by the league office to Maurício Calabaa of the Chesapeake Continentals. Calabaa was suspended for "inappropriate and aggressive conduct" during a confrontation with the plate umpire during a recent game at Chesapeake Grounds against the Youth. He was ejected after arguing a called third strike and had to be restrained by his bench coach. This year Calabaa is batting .220 with 2 home runs. He has scored 20 runs and driven in 13. |
