SAA's #1 Starter is Cruz Saturday, August 1st, 2037 Jesús Cruz took a much-deserved turn in the spotlight earlier today as he accepted the USSL Double A Pitcher of the Month award for July. The 22-year-old Blue Sox starter is a relative newcomer to the league, but nonetheless racked up an impressive 3-1 won-lost record in 5 starts. This month he fanned 28 batters in 35 innings and compiled a 1.54 ERA. Checking out his stats for the season, Cruz has notched 3 wins and 2 losses in 9 starts, 2.21 ERA and struck out 55 batters in 57 innings. |
