Big Day for Yacoobi: Swats 5 Hits Wednesday, June 10th, 2037 Today at Rapiers Ballpark, the Marquette Miners topped the Durham Rapiers in spite of a standout batting performance by third baseman Bearooz Yacoobi. Yacoobi had a very impressive day at the plate, spanking Marquette pitching for 5 base hits, but couldn't do enough for a win. Marquette whipped Durham by the score of 8-2. Bearooz Yacoobi singled in the 1st, singled in the 4th, hit a two-run triple in the 5th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 9th. So far this season Yacoobi has gotten 32 hits in 138 at-bats for a .232 batting average with no home runs. His stats include 17 RBIs and 7 runs scored. He has played in 33 games.
