3AA's Top Player Named Monday, July 6th, 2037 22-year-old José Vera made a few San Antonio headlines during this past week as the rookie right fielder proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and M3L Double A officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 14 hits in 24 at-bats to put up a .583 average. Vera collected 3 home runs, 5 RBIs and scored 5 runs. This year Vera is hitting at a .293 pace with 9 home runs and 32 RBIs. He has played in 50 games and scored 23 times. |
