King and Hammond Fight, Get Suspended Thursday, June 4th, 2037 Yesterday at Monster Field Hsi-men King and Ed Hammond got into each other's space and then into each other's face. They began to grapple and fell to the ground. That's when it boiled over into a full-fledged bench-clearing tussle between the Vermont Lake Monsters and Pawnee ParksNRec. Reason finally prevailed as the umpires restored order. After much discussion, only the two major combatants were ejected from the game. Today the league office notified the ballclubs that King will have to sit out 4 while Hammond would be given a 6-game suspension for their roles in the brawl. This year King is hitting at a .255 pace with 1 home run and 16 RBIs. He has played in 27 games and scored 5 times. This year Hammond has a 2-1 record with a 4.25 ERA. |
