Encarnación Terrific, Takes SAAA Outstanding Hitter Award Friday, October 9th, 2037 At the age of 22, Jesús Encarnación of the Florida Men could very well have his best years ahead of him. It's a startling thought when you consider the year he had in 2037 was good enough to win the right fielder the USSL Triple A Outstanding Hitter Award. "See the ball, hit the ball," he said. "That's my basic approach." The top hitter put up a .318 batting average this year, as well as a .447 on-base percentage. He played 102 games and racked up 116 hits, 15 doubles, no triples, 42 home runs, 101 RBIs and 82 runs scored. He received 10 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Gabrio Campoverde of the Hialeah Dodos finished second in voting, while Cecil Nelson of the Sunset District Fog finished third.
