SAAA Names Top Player of the Week Monday, August 10th, 2037 26-year-old Denny Pickett made a few Phoenix headlines during this past week as the rookie third baseman proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and USSL Triple A officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 7 hits in 14 at-bats to put up a .500 average. Pickett collected 2 home runs, 8 RBIs and scored 5 runs. For the season Pickett is currently batting .205 with 4 home runs and 28 RBIs. In 75 games he has reached base at a .296 rate and scored 27 runs to date. |
