What does it take to win the Outstanding Pitcher Award?

Just ask Ignacio Uribe of the Indianapolis Racers -- the latest M3L Triple A Outstanding Pitcher Award winner.

"My dad always told me to dream big and dream always," he said. "It's not like I shoot for the Outstanding Pitcher Award," he said. "I have big aspirations for what I want to do in this game and what I want to achieve in a long career."

The Racers pitching ace made some of his dreams come true this year, winning 7 games and losing only 0. In 11 starts, Uribe registered a 1.91 ERA and limited other clubs to a .177 batting average. He fanned 49 in 70.2 innings and issued 26 walks.

He received 5 first place votes out of a possible 12. Roman Phansalker of the Athletic Club KC Reserves finished second in voting with 4 first place votes, while Karl Dandleton of the Tortolita Drummers finished third with 3 first place votes.
