5-Hit Blitz by Indianapolis's Hernández Friday, August 7th, 2037 The 5th time was not the charm for Júlio Hernández today. The second baseman for the Indianapolis Racers hit the milestone today at Sacramento Sanitation Station, but it was the Sacramento Redlegs that salvaged a 9-8 victory. Hernández finished with a 5-for-5 line at the plate, and it still wasn't enough. "He was not an easy out, that's for sure," Sacramento manager Rich Hunter said to the press in the postgame interview. "I'm just glad we held everybody else in check and got the win." Hernández declined to speak to reporters at length following the game, saying only that "no loss is a good one." Júlio Hernández doubled in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Kyuso Ageda in the 4th, singled in the 6th, hit a two-run single in the 7th and singled in the 10th.
