Suspensions Handed Out for Bench-Clearing Brawl Sunday, July 19th, 2037 If there wasn't a history between Julián De Paz of Pennsauken and Ollie McDaniell of Syracuse, then there is one now. The incident between the two sparked a bench-clearing scrum with those two being the center of attention. Now they will miss 4 and 8 games respectively as a result of their actions. The league office announced their suspensions today. "We're both really competitive," De Paz said later, "and sometimes things go a little too far because of it." This season De Paz has hit at a .222 clip with 26 RBIs, 6 home runs and 20 runs scored. He has played in 61 games. This season McDaniell has compiled a 6-2 record with a 3.39 ERA in 13 starts. |
