League Suspends Clutch and Eisenmenger for Brawl
Saturday, July 18th, 2037
If there wasn't a history between Eugene Clutch of Indianapolis and Jim Eisenmenger of Key West, then there is one now. The incident between the two sparked a bench-clearing scrum with those two being the center of attention. Now they will miss 2 and 6 games respectively as a result of their actions. The league office announced their suspensions today.
"We're both really competitive," Clutch said later, "and sometimes things go a little too far because of it."
Clutch is hitting .252 this year with 4 home runs and 15 RBIs. He also has an OBP of .338, 13 walks and scored 21 times.
Eisenmenger has gone 3-2 this season with an ERA of 4.28 and 37 strikeouts in 61 innings pitched. Other clubs are hitting .253 against him.
