SL Newcomer of the Year Award Announced Sunday, November 1st, 2037 The regular season is now history and it's awards time in the United States Silver League. This year's winner of the Newcomer of the Year Award is 26-year-old Héctor Velázquez of the Oakland Oaks. The talented center fielder batted .312, played in 82 games and delivered 87 hits in 279 at-bats. His totals also included 6 home runs, 36 RBIs, 37 runs scored, 31 walks and a .378 OPB. Rylen Roersma of the Mississippi Mockingbirds finished second in voting, while Gabriel Montoya of the Oakland Oaks finished third. |
