Flores Comeback Not Possible, Injury Too Severe Friday, August 21st, 2037 Oakland starting pitcher Luis Flores has been diagnosed with bone chips in his elbow, an injury so severe that will end his baseball career. "It's very disappointing," Flores told reporters today. "It was totally unexpected, which makes it a little bit harder to deal with." Doctors originally thought he would have a full recovery. The 36-year-old Flores has been in treatment and reported he was making great progress, when things suddenly went sour. He told BNN, "It went from good to bad ... and then finally, to the worst case -- doctors said my career is over." |
