García and Rubia Dealt Wednesday, August 5th, 2037 The Rainbow Mermaids and 1837 BBC have been engaged in a little wheeling and dealing. They have just concluded a trade with 29-year-old RHP Ricardo García, 29-year-old RHP Maru Pao Pao, 26-year-old RF César Gómes, 22-year-old minor league 1B Adam Smith and $5 in cash going to Houston in exchange for 34-year-old RHP Miguel Rubia and 27-year-old RF Owen Sharts. Houston will retain a portion of Rubia's remaining contract. To this point in the season, García shows a 7-0 record, 16 starts, 95.1 innings, 60 strikeouts and a 3.97 ERA. This year Rubia has posted a 4-9 mark in 16 starts and has a 3.51 ERA. |
