Houston-Vancouver Trade: Koffie for Zhu Wednesday, August 5th, 2037 The Houston 1837 BBC and Vancouver Grey Wolves have put the finishing touches on a deal that was weeks in the making. Houston will part with 29-year-old 3B Komotay Koffie, while the Grey Wolves have dealt 19-year-old minor league 3B Yeow-whye Zhu and $4 in cash. "This one took a while to figure out," said Houston general manager Tyler Johnson. "We must have gone back to the drawing board five or six times over the past few weeks. I'm glad we finally got the deal done. I think it is a good one for both clubs." Houston will retain a portion of Koffie's remaining contract. Hitting .228 to date, Koffie has 8 home runs and 35 RBIs. He has played in 71 games. |
