"He was too darn good for us today," grumbled Galesburg manager Javier González after the 5-0 loss to the South Beach Blaze. Coalan finished with 9 strikeouts and 1 walk in a strong outing. In the postgame press conference, South Beach manager Wilson Alvarado said Coalan "had good velocity, good movement and had those guys off balance. He just pitched his butt off."
