Walleye Shut Out Blaze, Edgar Winner
Thursday, July 16th, 2037
It wasn't easy but the Walla Walla Walleye made it look that way.

Starter Alex Edgar shut out the South Beach Blaze despite having what he later called "sub-par" stuff, and the Walla Walla Walleye cruised to victory, 2-0. Edgar allowed only 5 hits and rang up 6 strikeouts but insisted later that he did not deserve primary credit for the win.

"It didn't feel quite right today, but I got a lot of help to get through," he said. "I trusted my catcher and the guys behind me bailed me out more than once when I screwed up."

So far in 12 appearances this season, Edgar has recorded 8 wins and sustained 2 losses. He has pitched 73.2 innings, yielded 52 hits, fanned 53 and has a 1.71 ERA.
