Westerduin Has Hot Hand, Bangs 5 hits Wednesday, July 30th, 2036 There aren't many who could be pro ballplayers and there are even fewer who could put up 5 hits in a day. Klaas Westerduin is one of those rare few, as he went 5-for-6 against the Mancelona Torch at Galesburg Field today. The monster effort from the 21-year-old center fielder helped the Galesburg Guzzlers take the win, 10-8. "We made some bad pitches and he took advantage of it," said Torch manager Jeremy Dennis. "That's the game, though. Don't make mistakes and you'll win ballgames. Make mistakes and, well, you saw what happened today." Klaas Westerduin flied out in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, singled in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 8th.
