Edwards Smacks 5 Hits for Hawks Friday, June 26th, 2037 Laredo Hawks shortstop Richard Edwards banged out 5 hits today, but it was not enough to keep his club from succumbing to the Alameda Airmen, 13-8. He went 5-for-5 and raised his batting average a few points. "If the hits keep coming," an upbeat Edwards said after the game, "the runs will too. And, more importantly, so will the wins." Richard Edwards doubled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI double in the 6th, walked in the 8th and hit an RBI triple in the 9th.
