Perry MacAldonich was a calming influence out of the Tennessee Smokies bullpen this season.

His teammates and manager said he had a poised demeanor about him that was typical of someone much older and more experienced. His poise has paid off, as the 21-year-old turned in a sparkling season and has been named the winner of the USSL Single A Reliever of the Year Award for 2037.

The Tulsa, Oklahoma native won the award with 7 saves in 44 relief appearances, 71 strikeouts in 63.2 innings and a record of 8-3 to go with his 2.40 ERA.

He received 9 first place votes out of a possible 10. Chun-yeong Byung-Ho of the Syracuse Storm finished second in voting with 1 first place vote, while Jian-gun Lin of the Mancelona Torch finished third.
