Injury Sidelines Sebastiaan Roelands For Year

The season is finished for Sebastiaan Roelands of the Tennessee Smokies. The club announced today that he will forego the rest of the year because of injury. The Smokies reliever suffered a partially torn ulnar collateral ligament while throwing a pitch in a recent game against the Washington Generals. Team doctors said it would take at least 8-9 months to heal.

For the season Roelands is 0-and-0 with 1 save and a 6.48 ERA. He has given up 10 hits in 8.1 innings with 11 strikeouts.
